LAND RECLAMATION ACTIVITIES : Wastelands such as Marshy Land degraded wetland etc. constitutes major components of productive lands which are found to be very often left idle. Soil Conservation Department takesup various reclamation measures such as desalting removal of marshes construction of drainage channel etc. to recover such unproductive land to put in to productive use.
